Our mission is to showcase the impact of Scouting and its contributors in the community by preserving and displaying physical artifacts such as uniforms, badges, records, reports, and photographs. The Museum offers visitors an informative and unique glimpse into the history of Scouting in Kingston, ensuring that its legacy is celebrated and preserved for future generations.
The Board of Directors is very pleased to offer visitors the opportunity to view and engage with artifacts from our collections that represent the history of Scouting in Kingston & Area. The Kingston area became involved in Scouting just after the organization began in 1907 in the UK.
Our “Collections” tab features groups of curated artifacts such as badges, uniforms, and other items. Our “Exhibits” tab provides a detailed look at some of the people, places, and events connected to Scouting in the Kingston area.

Volunteers Needed!
The Kingston Scout Museum is actively searching for volunteers. Volunteers are vital to our museum operations and we’re always seeking volunteers with diverse experiences to help us share our history
Volunteering can include:
- Events: Join us at community events like Princess Street Promenade or March of the Museums as we connect with visitors about local and international Scouting history.
- Collections and Research: Help us as we organize and catalogue our large collection of Scouting artifacts.
- Museum Board: Join our board and help shape the future of the museum.
- Exhibition Development: Share your Scouting stories with us and have a hand in creating your own virtual exhibition.
- Translation: Assist the museum as we strive to have fully bilingual materials for the public.
